The Main Directorate (GU) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Sverdlovsk region reported that a fire with an area of 3.5 thousand square meters in a warehouse in Yekaterinburg was localized.
"The fire has been localized," the agency said on July 7 in its Telegram channel.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, 81 personnel and 36 units of special equipment are currently at the scene of the fire.
"The difficulties in extinguishing the fire were the complex layout of the building and the high fire load of the premises, as well as the lack of sufficient external fire—fighting water supply," said Valery Kazakov, Acting Head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Sverdlovsk Region.
Earlier in the day, a fire broke out in the warehouse, its area reached 3.5 thousand square meters. m.
