Corporal Andrey Igolnikov, as part of the assault group, moved to occupy a firing position when they were overtaken by Ukrainian FPV drones. The Russian Ministry of Defense on Tuesday, July 8, told about the exploits of Russian servicemen in the area of the special military operation (SVO).

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) opened fire on the assault group and sent drones in its direction, but the Russian military competently resisted the attack. Igolnikov destroyed two FPV drones and managed to reach the firing position.

Later, during the storming of the stronghold, Corporal Igolnikov used Mavic-3 drones to drop grenades, which as a result contributed to the successful completion of the task.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the high professionalism of Corporal Konstantin Kuzmin, who participated in medical operations and cared for the wounded as part of a medical group.

Kuzmin repeatedly evacuated wounded Russian servicemen from enemy mortar attacks, risking his own life. He provided first aid, organized the evacuation of the injured to the hospital, and helped save the lives and further return to service of 18 servicemen. In addition, Kuzmin assisted in a complex operation to restore the limb of a wounded man during a mine explosion.

Earlier, on July 6, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation said that Guard Corporal Alexei Bobylev acted as part of the mine clearance unit, which performed the tasks of engineering reconnaissance of the routes of movement of Russian troops.
