Doing exercises with a fitness band speeds up the metabolic process, which leads to weight loss. On July 7, Alexey Shishkin, an assistant at the Department of Rehabilitation, Sports Medicine and Physical Education at the Institute of Preventive Medicine at Pirogov University, told Gazeta.Ru».

"Weight loss occurs with a calorie deficit, when you expend more energy than you consume. Exercises with fitness bands effectively load muscles, speed up metabolism and increase total calorie consumption during and after exercise," he explained.

These activities also go well with and complement cardio exercises such as running, walking, and cycling. With regular workouts with a gradual increase in the resistance of the elastic band, there is also an increase in muscle tone, an improvement in relief and the formation of a toned physique.

"Elastic bands create variable resistance, which makes the muscles work harder at all stages of movement. They perfectly work out problem areas that are often inaccessible for basic exercises: buttocks, outer and inner thighs, back of arms, muscles of the core," the doctor said.

In addition, dumbbells can be used to significantly build strength and muscle mass. They provide a constant load due to gravity, which makes them extremely suitable for performing basic exercises such as squats, lunges, deadlifts and presses.

On July 5, doctor Roxana Portnova talked about important rules for morning exercises. So, a low-intensity workout, such as stretching, can be started about 10-15 minutes after lifting. During this period, the body has time to "wake up" a little, and such activity will gently prepare the muscles and joints for the next day.
