A case of fraud in school improvement was opened in Krasnoyarsk

A criminal case has been opened in the Krasnoyarsk Territory on fraud in the performance of a contract for the improvement of school grounds in the city of Uyar. This is reported by the GSU of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Republic of Khakassia.

The person involved in the case is a 34-year-old director of a construction company in Krasnoyarsk. The investigation believes that in the course of the work he made changes to the estimate and performed some of the work with gross violations.

The value of the contract concluded between the company and the Uyar school amounted to 12 million rubles, according to the KrasnoyarskMedia news agency. The changes made led to a decrease in the cost by 2 million rubles. But the company received the full payment, as it submitted accounting documents containing deliberately false information.

A criminal case has been opened under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Fraud on an especially large scale." An investigation is underway.

In the same summer, a criminal case was opened in Primorsky Krai on the theft of 4 million rubles during the construction of a fire tank in one of the settlements. The person involved in it is the director of the company that performed the work.
