The family comedy "Not alone at Home 2" earned 67 million rubles over the weekend. It's better than the start of the first part of the movie. The new film starring bloggers Dava and Milana Khametova displaced the previous leader from the first position — the picture with People's Artist Yuri Stoyanov "To the village grandfather". The top box office also features the horror "Sinister. Family Curse" and the reissue of "Peter FM". Izvestia assessed the results of the national box office over the weekend.

Idols from the Network

In proportion to the increase in air temperature on the thermometer, the curve creeps down, demonstrating the dynamics of the number of viewers in cinemas. According to the EAIS (Unified Federal Automatic Information System for Information about Movie Screenings in Cinemas), 1 million people purchased tickets for the screenings over the past weekend. This is 100,000 less than a week earlier.

The audience voted in rubles for the comedy "Not alone at home 2". The film collected 67 million rubles in its first weekend at the box office. This is 25 million more than the fees of the first part, which was released a year ago, during the debut weekend. The film "Not alone at home" was directed by Vasily Sviridov. Mitri Semenov-Aleynikov was invited to the second part.

— The first film had a good sundress, which gave the sequel a more confident start. Plus, the second part of the film "Not Alone at Home" came out at a good time — there was practically no competition in the genre over the weekend," Olga Zinyakova, president of the KARO cinema chain, explained to Izvestia.

The story initially claimed to be a success with a young audience. The main roles are played by popular bloggers — young Milana Khametova and her older friend Dava (David Manukyan). On the screen, they are a daughter and a father. In the first film, the main character Masha fought intruders who broke into her house in search of profit. The second part takes place in a summer camp, where she meets bandits she already knows and once again makes her regret her evil intentions with the help of her cunning traps.

Grandpa is not giving up his position

The comedy with Yuri Stoyanov "To Grandpa's Village", which was in the lead at the box office for three weeks, went down to the second line of the box office. This time, the film earned about 50 million rubles, breaking the mark of half a billion in total fees.

The plot centers on ten-year-old Vladik (Yaroslav Golovnev), who is sent to spend the summer with his grandfather in the countryside. The teenager is not satisfied with the situation, because he soon has an important event — an IT contest, where he expects to win a big cash prize, and he can not leave the city in any way. In the end, he decides to get his grandfather to just kick him out.

Next in the ranking is the romcom from Oscar nominee Celine Son, "The Materialist." The film starring Pedro Pascal, Dakota Johnson and Chris Evans took the third place in the box office, collecting about 37 million rubles. At the same time, an average of 13 people attended each session in the hall, which is more than the leaders.

For the fifth week, "Ballerina" has not left the top 5. Action's fees dropped from 24 million rubles last weekend to 14.3 million rubles last weekend, which, however, secured him the fourth place in the box office. The total box office of the spin-off of the cult franchise "John Wick" in the Russian box office is now slightly more than 400 million rubles.

Passion-mordasti

Completing the top five is the horror "Sinister. The Family Curse" from the director of the TV series "Black Mirror", "Peaky Blinders", "Sherlock", "Doctor Who" Colm McCarthy. The main role in the film was played by Golden Globe Award nominee Sam Claflin, star of the "Hunger Games" franchise and the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides." In the story, Patrick spent his entire childhood in fear, which he could neither understand nor explain. Now he has grown up, but the horror of the past has overtaken him again: something beyond explanation is hunting not for him, but for his son.

With 12 million rubles over the weekend, "Sinister" overtook the action comedy "Spy Wedding" with Rebel Wilson, which, in turn, brought only 8 million to the box office this time. Her character, who finds herself at a friend's wedding on an exotic island, along with other guests, is taken hostage by armed bandits. Fortunately, she is a super spy herself and is always armed.

— This is the second weekend for "Spy Wedding", "Sinister" has just been released, — Olga Zinyakova explained. — Plus, family and comedy films share the box office among themselves, and there are more of them at the box office than alternative content. It's easier for horror films in this regard — there are fewer genre releases, and horror connoisseurs consistently go to cinemas.

Last weekend, not only new items competed for the box office, but also the re-release of Peter FM. Oksana Bychkova's 2006 film, which was re-released, earned 5.8 million in its first weekend. Starring Evgeny Tsyganov, Ekaterina Fedulova, Alexey Barabash, Irina Rakhmanova. The guest star in the debutante film was Vladimir Mashkov, who starred in the episode as a barefoot alcoholic.

—Peter FM is a cult and truly summer atmospheric movie, that says it all," says the head of the KARO cinema chain. — People have opted for a proven product that will create a predictable mood. But still, most of the weekend's rentals are occupied by new releases, and Peter FM, although showing good results for re-release, ranks only 11th in the top.

Next weekend, the competition for the "oldies" of the Russian rental will be "Plagiarist" with Roman Evdokimov in the role of a guy who, once in the past, begins to pass off hits from the future as his own, as well as David Cronenberg's drama "The Shroud" with Vincent Cassel.1
