About 50% of employed Russians admitted to working during their holidays
About half of employed Russians (43%) continue to work during their holidays. This is stated in the company's research. hh.ru , the data of which was made available to Izvestia on July 8.
According to the survey results, 7% of workers do this all the time, 13% — often, and another 23% — sometimes. Only 38% said they never work on vacation, while another 19% said they work occasionally.
Employees between the ages of 35 and 54 turned out to be the most involved in work processes during their holidays, and in these groups the combined share of those who have ever worked on vacation is almost 50%.
Men are also more likely than women to admit that they have to continue working during their holidays. 9% of them always work and another 12% often. For women, these figures are 6% and 14%, respectively. 35% of men and 39% of women completely disconnect from the work process on vacation.
More often than others, managers work at the professional level during their vacations. Among the representatives of senior and middle management, 17% admitted that they always work during their holidays, and another 18% often.
The highest proportions of those who do not work on vacation are found in the fields of raw material extraction, medicine, pharmaceuticals, as well as among the working staff. Between 52% and 54% of these groups of employees never work during their holidays.
On July 2, it was reported that the number of vacancies for office work in the IT sector exceeded 236 thousand, which is 34% more than in 2024. Meanwhile, the number of vacancies on the remote site has declined since the beginning of 2025. At the same time, experts note that the absolute figures indicate the unwillingness of employers to completely abandon the remote format of work.
