The ex-Hyundai plant in Russia has produced more than 18 thousand cars in six months

In the first six months of 2025, the AGR Automobile Plant in St. Petersburg, which previously produced Hyundai and Kia cars, produced almost 18.3 thousand cars of the Russian brand Solaris. This is stated in the company's message, which was received by Izvestia on July 7.

A total of 12.3 thousand vehicles were sold from January to June. The number of registrations of brand models during this period amounted to 10.4 thousand units. It is noted that according to the results of sales in the first half of the year, the brand is consistently among the top ten best-selling brands in the Russian market, its market share has increased to 2%.

AGR Holding also confirmed that due to the high level of localization in July 2025, the HC crossover, KRX hatchback and KRS sedan were included in the state program of preferential car loans.

Since the restart of the enterprise in February last year, the AGR Automobile Plant has produced 30 thousand cars of the Russian Solaris brand. The cars of this brand are renamed Hyundai and Kia and are produced in full cycle mode.

On June 23, it was reported that three models of the Chinese brand GAC will begin to be assembled in Russia at the plant in St. Petersburg, where Hyundai and Kia cars were previously produced, and now they produce cars of the domestic brand Solaris. Later, the AGR automobile plant denied this statement and said that the company had no such intentions.
