The prosecution has requested 14 years for the defendant in the case of the murder of a businessman in Misailovo

The prosecution has requested 14 years in a high-security penal colony for Karen Verdyan, accused of murdering a businessman in the village of Misailovo near Moscow. This was reported on July 7 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the hall of the Vidnovsky city court.

Verdyan's lawyer, Mikhail Bagaev, petitioned for a more lenient sentence, since there are no aggravating circumstances in the case.

The defendant himself stated in the last word that he regrets what happened and committed the crime involuntarily, because of the threat to his family.
