VTB held an intensive educational course for its clients, "The Chinese Move: from Cultural Codes to Business Strategies." This is a two-day program about effective partnership with China, the bank's press service said.

The program is aimed at owners and top managers of companies developing or planning business relationships with Chinese partners. The course taught about legal and financial risks, logistical solutions, and negotiation practices based on real-world cases. "There are no small things in working with China — everything matters: from the intricacies of the business protocol to the structure of calculations. We see our customers' interest in the Chinese market, and VTB provides them not only with products, but also with knowledge and a clear practical framework. I am sure this will help us do business with China faster, safer and more efficiently," said Ruslan Eremenko, member of the VTB Bank Management Board.

The academic partners of the program are the Higher School of Management of St. Petersburg State University (HSE St. Petersburg State University) and Harbin Polytechnic University (HIT, Harbin Institute of Technology).

The intensive event was held at the HSE St. Petersburg State University's Mikhailovskaya Dacha campus and brought together participants from different regions of Russia — representatives of companies from the fields of energy, manufacturing, equipment trading, logistics and agribusiness. The speakers of the program were, in particular, experts with real-world experience in building partnerships with enterprises from China.

"Today, businesses need not just knowledge, but the ability to navigate complex cross-border systems. We designed the Chinese Move as a tool for navigating the new business reality — with VTB's unique expertise, live cases, and the cultural context in which decisions will have to be made. This is learning how to be effective in the logic of another civilization," commented Olga Dergunova, Head of VTB Education, Senior Vice President of VTB Bank, Director of HSE St. Petersburg State University.
