Kiriyenko called the National Center "Russia" his pride and dream
The National Center "Russia" combines images of pride and dreams and has no analogues in the world. This was announced on Monday, July 7, by First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation Sergey Kiriyenko at the opening of the architectural layout of the future building of the center.
"Pride and dream are two images that the exhibition ["Russia"] was associated with, and now the National Center "Russia" is connected <...> Not that in Russia, there is nothing like it in the world at the moment. It's the same "pride and dream" principle again. We have something to be proud of and even more to dream about," Kiriyenko said.
He thanked Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and the Moscow city administration for implementing the project, stressing that the scale of the task requires the joint work of the exhibition management, regions, ministries, departments and the country's largest corporations.
Kiriyenko recalled that last year the Russia exhibition entered the top ten most visited places in the world, and its main visitors were schoolchildren and students. According to Kiriyenko, most of them left the exhibition with a sense of pride for the country and decided on their future profession thanks to the exhibition.
On Architect's Day, July 7, a mock-up of the future Rossiya National Center was officially unveiled in Moscow.
In July 2024, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the creation of the Rossiya National Center in Moscow to preserve the legacy of the exhibition and forum of the same name, which operated at VDNH. The land plot is provided on Krasnopresnenskaya Embankment in the central exhibition complex Expocentre.
