Leo Tolstoy bike route in Tula to be built by 2028

The Leo Tolstoy bike path in Tula will be fully paved by 2028. Last weekend, representatives of the authorities drove through it, the press service of the regional government reported on Monday, July 7.

The participants cycled 5 km from the Central Park of Culture and Recreation named after P.P. Belousov to Platonovsky Park. They also discussed the further development of the project.

The implementation of the bike route consists of three stages, TSN24 writes. The first one was completed in 2024, the second one — from Platonovsky Park to Kosoy Gora — is planned to be completed by the end of 2025, and the third one — to Yasnaya Polyana — by 2028.

An 18-km-long path will pass through memorial sites and parks, and a 1.5-2-hour bike ride will take.

Yasnaya Polyana is a state museum, opened in 1921 in the estate of Leo Tolstoy. Most of the writer's life was spent here, and here he wrote "War and Peace" and "Anna Karenina."
