The priest of the UOC Kalinovsky was imprisoned for refusing to take the oath
Rostislav Kalinovsky, a canonical priest of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) from Kamensk, Dnipropetrovsk region, who was fraudulently mobilized by the military enlistment office, refused to take the oath in a military unit. The relevant information was published on July 7 on the official website of the Union of Orthodox Journalists.
"Rostislav Kalinovsky, a priest of the UOC from Kamensk, who was tricked by the military commissars into joining the shopping center, refused to take the oath in a military unit," the article says.
The cleric's relatives reported that psychological pressure was being exerted on him, threatening him with up to 10 years in prison. The priest managed to reach his family only once.
"And again the unbearable silence. And again, we don't know what's wrong with him," Rostislav's mother is quoted as saying in the UOJ.
On June 19, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, employees of the territorial recruitment center (TCC, an analogue of the military enlistment office in Ukraine) abducted Kalinovsky. It is specified that the priest was subsequently sent to the military medical commission.
