For failure to inform the military enlistment office about the move, Russians will face a fine of up to 20 thousand rubles. The relevant law was signed on July 7 by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"Failure by a citizen <...> to provide information about moving to a new place of residence that is not confirmed by registration, or failure to appear at the military commissariat within the time limit established by federal law in the event of moving to a new place that is not confirmed by registration, entails the imposition of an administrative fine in the amount of 10 thousand to 20 thousand rubles," it follows from a document posted on the official Internet portal of legal information.
