Two locksmiths were convicted for the death of a family from gas poisoning in the Moscow region

According to investigators, in May 2022, the defendants conducted a formal inspection of the gas equipment in the house on Likhachevsky Highway. After that, under the disturbed operating conditions of the water heater, a dangerous amount of carbon monoxide was released in the apartment. Four people were killed, including children aged two and 11. This is reported by the online publication Podmoskovye Segodnya.

A criminal case was initiated into the provision of services that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers. The court sentenced the locksmiths to 3.5 years in prison to serve their sentences in a general regime colony.

In the Tula region in June, a man and his 17 and 19-year-old children were poisoned to death by carbon monoxide. A criminal case has been opened on this fact.
