- Liksutov summed up the results of the light festival at the Northern River Station
On July 4 and 5, the interactive festival "Park of Light" was held for the first time at the Severny Rechnoy Vokzal in Moscow. The event was attended by about 160,000 people, said Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of the capital for Transport and Industry.
"We are developing the Severny Rechnoy Vokzal not only as a transport facility, but also as a sought—after cultural space on behalf of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin," Liksutov said.
In the program of the festival, the organizers played up the image of Moscow as a "port of five seas", with which the capital is connected through a system of canals: the White, Baltic, Black, Azov and Caspian.
The park territory was divided into five thematic zones, each of which symbolizes the seas. For two days, experts held lectures on sailing, the waterways that surround the capital, the history of navigation, and more.
In total, six unique performances took place during the festival. A light projection show was shown on the facade of the architectural monument — the building of the Northern River Station. The projection area was more than 5.5 thousand square meters. m.
A theatrical performance was held in the water area of the Moscow Canal. For the first time, a special mobile platform on the water was used to create a multimedia show. The highlight of the evening was Rodion Gazmanov's performance.
