NAMI Institute has introduced an autonomous control system for cars called NAMI Self Driving System. The technology is compatible with any car, and the domestic luxury crossover Aurus Komendant has been selected as a demonstration carrier of the system. This was reported by the Izvestia correspondent from the Innoprom exhibition in Yekaterinburg on July 7.

The autonomous driving system uses proprietary software, algorithms, and databases. The software has received certificates of state registration of programs. The developers call it "one of the most accurate among analogues," and solutions for unifying the placement of sensors and communication lines are easy to adapt to new vehicles. Reliable digital and physical protection of components is claimed.

Autonomous technology allows you to drive on public roads and enclosed areas all year round and at any time of the day, in the presence of precipitation in the form of moderate rain or snow, determine the position of the car on the road, traffic lights and other road users, drive through intersections and park.

The system's equipment is mounted in a so-called sensor box, which is mounted on the roof of the car and allows the system to interact with the environment. The maximum object recognition range is 200 meters. It is claimed that the speed of the software allows you to navigate dense urban traffic and make decisions faster than a human.

The sensor box contains lidars, radars, cameras, a computing unit, a CAN chassis control unit, and data transmission equipment. The developers note that the system is able to determine the position and orientation of the terrain in various driving conditions, including when jamming satellite navigation signals.
