In the city of Kemerovo, 12 residents of Kuzbass joined a criminal community to sell drugs on a large scale, the court imprisoned them for terms from 7 to 12 years. This was announced on July 7 by the regional prosecutor's office.

It is specified that the group began operating back in 2021. Its participants carried out illegal activities on the territory of the Kemerovo region, dividing it into conditional "north" and "south".

The community includes both men and women. At various times, they served as supervisors, supervisors, coordinators, couriers, and technical specialists. The sale of drugs, mostly synthetic, was carried out via the Internet and hiding places without personal contact with buyers.

The criminal intent, as noted by the agency, was not completed due to the actions of law enforcement officers who detained members of the criminal community and seized 450 g of mephedrone and at least 1.5 kg of α-pyrrolidinovalerophenone from illicit trafficking.

"Taking into account the position of the public prosecutor, depending on the role and degree of participation, members of the criminal community have been sentenced to real imprisonment for a period of seven to 12 years," the prosecutor's office's press service said in a statement on its website.

A source from Izvestia reported on July 2 that a major drug dealer suspected of organizing an online store had been detained in St. Petersburg. It was clarified that during the searches, about 7.5 kg of drugs, four packages and 17 boxes of unidentified substances, as well as 1.6 million rubles, $2.5 thousand (about 190 thousand rubles) and €135 (about 12.5 thousand rubles) were seized from a 30-year-old man.
