The participating countries of the UK and France project to create a "coalition of willing" to provide assistance to Ukraine do not have a specific course of action. This was reported by the Politico newspaper on July 7, citing sources.

"Two French officials admitted that the coalition of the willing lacks direction," the publication says.

Sources of the publication suggested that this problem partly lies in the UK's attitude to US security guarantees, which have not yet been given and which the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, seriously relied on.

Russian Ambassador to London Andrey Kelin said on July 4 that the "coalition of willing" to help Ukraine had not achieved significant results and had turned into another club of friends of Kiev. He noted that France and the United Kingdom would not have been able to deploy a significant military contingent in the territory controlled by Kiev, so the focus shifted to helping train the militants of the Kiev regime and increasing the combat capability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
