Fighters of the North group of forces attacked the equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Sumy region

Military personnel of the 810th Separate Guards Marine Brigade of the Black Sea Fleet (Black Sea Fleet) as part of the North group of forces continue to destroy military equipment and manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Sumy region in the area of the special operation, as well as take the remaining combat vehicles as trophies. This was announced on July 7 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

Units of the North group of forces continue to carry out the combat mission to create a security zone along the state border of the Russian Federation. Currently, troops are moving forward every day, pushing Ukrainian militants away from the state border to create a "sanitary zone" and ensure the safety of civilians in the Russian border regions.

In Sumy region, mobile groups of units of the North group of forces carry out round-the-clock monitoring in certain areas and disrupt the logistics of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. To defeat targets, military personnel use unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of various types, including those controlled by optical fiber, as well as various military equipment.

"There are many tasks. We control the forests from the enemy's approach. We identify, find and, accordingly, work out. Everything is working out. Moving on. The enemy is already having a very difficult time securing anything, neither the "birds" nor the people can fail. All [AFU] equipment is destroyed immediately on the approaches. <...> The enemy's movements are now in the first few minutes, and in the first 5-10 minutes everything is being worked out," said one of the UAV crew chiefs with the call sign Yamata.

The military evacuates the affected and abandoned equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to the rear areas and restores it for further use or transfer to museums. The footage shows the M577 command and staff vehicle. It was carried out on the territory of the Sumy region by military personnel of the 810th Separate Guards Marine Brigade, the department said.

On July 6, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that crews of unmanned aerial vehicles of the 18th Combined Arms Army from the Dnepr group of forces destroyed an American-made M777 howitzer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the right bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson region. It was noted that the servicemen had immobilized the target with several precise drops of high-explosive fragmentation ammunition and struck it with fiber-optic FPV drones.
