Russian breweries have entered the ranking of the top 40 largest beer suppliers and ranked 12th, surpassing Germany, which is currently experiencing a crisis. While the export of Russian beer in the first quarter alone exceeded 33 thousand tons.

In recent years, there has been an increase in gas prices in Germany, which makes the operation of large factories unprofitable and leads to the so-called "austerity" regime.

So, against the background of massive cuts, the transfer of production abroad and the liquidation of large concerns, not only the German automotive industry, energy and logistics are declining, but also the famous brewing industry — in the last five years alone, since the pandemic, more than 100 breweries have closed in the country, including the oldest German Lang Bräu, founded by in 1853.

At the same time, Russian enterprises, despite the withdrawal of Western investors, were able not only to significantly improve the quality of beer drinks, but also to establish profitable exports to dozens of countries, from the Middle East and Asia to Latin America.

You can buy Russian foam products even in Europe, for example, in German grocery stores there are Baltika No. 3 Classic, Baltika No. 7 Soft (Export), Baltika No. 8 Wheat and Baltika No. 9 Strong. Entering the international arena allowed us to increase the volume of domestic beer production by at least 30% last year.

"Baltika's return to the ranking of the world's largest brewing companies in terms of production and its rise to 12th place shows that we are moving in the right direction, reviving Russian brewing and developing it to a new level. During this time, Baltika has fully become a Russian company and continues to work to preserve the best brewing traditions," the representatives of the concern said.

They also noted that when creating drinks, they always focused on the needs of consumers who appreciate the quality and taste of the natural product produced in their factories.

"The quality of Russian beer has improved significantly. That is why Russian breweries have risen in the ratings — the quality has become really decent," confirmed Walter Koenig, Managing Director of the Bavarian Brewers' Union.

On July 3, Russian brewers spoke about the development of the industry after the Russian Federation became a world leader and explained the growing demand for their product. Sergey Kert, a brewing technologist, noted that abroad they are interested in the technological approaches of the Russian Federation to processing raw materials due to the fact that there is currently a shift towards a craft culture of consumption.
