Iran will be named as one of the biggest threats to Britain's national security. This was reported on July 6 by The Telegraph newspaper with reference to a classified report by the parliamentary Committee on Intelligence and Security.

According to the newspaper, the 100-page document, which took two years to prepare, will contain a conclusion that Iran's special services are allegedly trying to destroy dissidents in the UK. According to the authors of the article, the findings of the study will lead to the fact that "Iran remains one of the largest state threats to the country, along with China and Russia."

In addition, the document will reveal the alleged ongoing attempts by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to interfere in the internal affairs of the United Kingdom. According to the newspaper, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer personally approved the preparation of the report, but the date of its publication is not yet known.

In the new national security strategy of the United Kingdom on June 24, the country's authorities called for active preparations to protect themselves from a foreign policy threat on their territory. It was clarified that there was allegedly a threat to the UK's security from Russia, China or Iran. The document also mentions the conflict in Ukraine.
