Air defense forces destroyed 48 Ukrainian UAVs in five hours


The Air Defense Forces shot down 48 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over the Russian regions. This was announced on July 6 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
"In the period from 14.20 Moscow time to 19.30 Moscow time, 48 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles of an airplane type were destroyed and intercepted by air defense systems on duty," the ministry said in a statement on its Telegram channel.
So, 13 UAVs were shot down over the Kaluga region, 10 over the Bryansk region. Nine more drones were destroyed over the territory of the Moscow region, including six UAVs flying to Moscow, and six drones were eliminated over the Belgorod and Smolensk regions. Two UAVs were shot down over the Leningrad region and one each over the Kursk and Novgorod regions.
On the afternoon of July 6, Russian air defense systems destroyed 39 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory. Of these, 21 drones were shot down over the Bryansk region, seven over the Orel region, and six over the Tula region. Two more drones were destroyed over the Belgorod and Kursk regions and one UAV over Kaluga.
