Rospotrebnadzor has opened a hotline to protect the rights of flight passengers in case of flight delay, cancellation or postponement. This was reported on July 6 in the Telegram channel of the department.
It is noted that the service's specialists can advise consumers on ticket exchange, money refund and moral compensation from the airline.
Rospotrebnadzor reminded that if the flight is delayed, the passenger has the right to cancel the flight and demand a refund for the ticket. In addition, the passenger has the right to compensation for damages, compensation for moral damage and a fine from the carrier for late delivery to the destination. The norms of international treaties of Russia apply to international flights. If the flight is delayed, the consumer also has the right to provide additional services free of charge.
