A rally in defense of democracy and freedom of speech was held in Moldova

A rally in defense of democracy and freedom of speech was held in the center of Chisinau. Footage of the July 6 event is published by Izvestia.
The rally itself took place on July 5. At the same time, the organizers of the action, the Future of Moldova party, stated that the values of a democratic state and freedom were defended during the event.
The footage shows that a group of people with slogans gathered on the territory of Europa Square, with signs and posters saying "No to dictatorship!" and "No censorship!". At the same time, some participants stood with the flags of the republic.
According to the leader of the party, former Prime Minister of the republic Vasily Tarlev, after unsuccessful attempts to oppress the Orthodox population of the country, the authorities began to show aggression towards priests and disrespect for the Orthodox faith of the people. He clarified that in this way the current authorities want to destroy the state.
On June 3, the youth wing of the Moldovan opposition bloc Pobeda held a protest outside the building of the European Union (EU) Representative Office in Chisinau, directed against LGBT propaganda (the movement is banned in the Russian Federation and recognized as extremist).
