A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. According to the Ministry of Defense, units of the Zapad group of forces have decisively liberated the village of Sobolevka in the Kharkiv region. Five electronic warfare stations, a US-made AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery warfare station and four ammunition depots were destroyed.

In addition, as a result of the active and decisive actions of the units of the Vostok group of forces, the Poddubnoye settlement of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) was liberated. The manpower and equipment of three mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and two air defense brigades were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Poltavka, Olgovskoye, Malinovka of the Zaporizhia region, as well as Voskresenka, Novopol and Karl Marx of the DPR. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 190 soldiers, three armored combat vehicles, five vehicles and two field artillery pieces.

Long-range and tactical aviation forces, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated the infrastructure of the air base, an enterprise for the production of components for long-range unmanned aerial vehicles, ammunition depots, assembly shops and storage sites for unmanned aerial vehicles and unmanned boats, as well as temporary deployment points of formations. The Ukrainian Armed Forces and foreign mercenaries in the 141st district.

The forces of the Black Sea Fleet destroyed three unmanned boats in the Black Sea. Six guided aerial bombs and 298 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by air defense systems.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 663 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 67,647 unmanned aerial vehicles, 614 anti-aircraft missile systems, 24,143 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,575 multiple rocket launchers, 27,043 field artillery and mortars, 37,712 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
