The Interior Ministry warned about a fraud scheme involving the rental of citizens' bank cards

The attackers began offering Russians to rent their bank cards or personal bank accounts under the pretext of making transactions with cryptocurrency. This was announced on July 6 by the Department for the organization of the fight against the illegal use of information and communication technologies (UBK) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

"Fraudsters offer citizens to rent their bank cards or personal accounts of banks, promising high remuneration and imaginary "legal security." The pretext may be transactions with cryptocurrency or other operations," the department's Telegram channel says.

As specified by the UBK of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the card or personal accounts will be used for a one-time withdrawal of funds that were obtained illegally. Such operations will be considered droppery. Because of this, the citizen will face account blocking, criminal liability, including imprisonment.
