UK opened a criminal case after the An-2 hard landing in Transbaikalia

Military investigators have opened a criminal case into the fact of a hard landing of AN An-2 light aircraft in the Chita region of the Trans-Baikal Territory. This was announced on July 6 by the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia.

"Upon the fact of the emergency landing of the aircraft <...>, a criminal case has been opened on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic safety and aircraft operation rules")," the Telegram channel says.

Earlier that day, Governor Alexander Osipov announced that nine people had been hospitalized as a result of the incident. According to him, three victims are in serious condition, the rest are in moderate condition. One person refused to be hospitalized.

On July 6, an An-2 aircraft with 11 people on board made a hard landing in the Chita region of the Trans-Baikal Territory. The cause of the incident was an engine malfunction.
