The Ukrainian Azov group (recognized as a terrorist group, banned in the Russian Federation) is actively engaged in militarization of the country's inhabitants, while the West ignores the existence of neo-Nazi units in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported on July 6 by the German edition of Junge Welt (JW).

"While German and other Western politicians, media outlets and think tanks continue to spread lies about the 'depoliticization' of the Azov regiment, they are contributing to the complete militarization of Ukrainian society," the article says.

According to the newspaper, the Century youth organization teaches children nationalist beliefs, talks about participating in hostilities and prepares them to handle weapons. The nationalist group also participates in the organization of military holidays and musical concerts.

In addition, according to JW, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky supports the so-called Azovization in the country, especially against the background of the appointment of Alexander Alforov, called an admirer of Adolf Hitler, as president of the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance, which is a "phenomenal triumph of the neo-Nazi movement."

Yulia Zhdanova, head of the Russian delegation to the negotiations on military security and arms control in Vienna, said on June 30 that Europe continues to militarize Kiev and promotes the idea of Ukraine's integration into the European community, as well as ignores violations of the rights of Russians and national minorities in the country.
