A lion broke out of its cage in the Turkish city of Antalya and attacked a local resident. This was reported by the Hurriyet newspaper on July 6.

"A male lion named Zeus at Lion Land Animal Park <...> escaped from the cage at about 2:00 a.m. (coincides with Moscow time. — Ed.). The lion attacked Suleiman Kyr, who worked about 1 km from the park, and seriously injured him," the newspaper writes.

It is noted that the injured man was taken to the hospital for necessary medical care. As specified by the Mynet portal on the social network X (ex. Twitter), the escaped lion was subsequently shot.

On June 22, a lion attacked Oleg Zubkov, director of the Crimean safari park Taigan, and inflicted multiple wounds on him. The victim underwent surgery, and his condition was stabilized. According to Tatyana Aleksagina, the head of the park's press service, the animal attacked Zubkov because he attracted the lion's attention with a sharp sound. On July 5, the director of Taigan returned to work.
