A man who stabbed a nine-year-old child was arrested in the Moscow region.

In Sergiev Posad, a local resident was arrested for stabbing a nine-year-old child in the neck. This was reported on July 6 in the press service of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Moscow region.

It is noted that a day earlier, the man was charged under Part 3 of Article 30 of paragraphs "b, i" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Attempted murder of a minor").

"At the request of the investigation, a local resident was arrested by the court. <...> He will remain in custody until September 4, 2025," the department's Telegram channel said.

On July 4, the General Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Moscow Region reported the arrest of a local resident who stabbed a nine-year-old child in the neck in the courtyard of an apartment building. The victim was hospitalized in a medical facility.
