- The media reported on Kiev's concealment of a malfunction in the reactor of the South Ukrainian nuclear power plant

Ukraine has not provided information about a reactor malfunction at the South Ukrainian Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), which could have caused the disaster. This was reported on July 6 by the Turkish newspaper Aydınlık with reference to classified documents of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
However, the incident was not reflected in the report of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
"A secret document shows that the reactor accident at the South Ukrainian nuclear power plant was concealed due to "violations of operating conditions." Perhaps this is an incident that almost became a disaster," the article says.
It is noted that the document refers to "damaged reactor equipment of power units." The publication claims that the malfunction could also occur in the reactor itself or in the safety systems that are associated with it.
In addition, such damage to equipment due to violation of operating conditions could cause serious consequences and technical malfunction at the NPP. So, in case of serious damage to the elements, leakage is possible, which will lead to environmental pollution.
On May 25, the press service of the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) fired on the territory next to the station on the day of the rotation of the IAEA experts. On the day of the rotation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces conducted artillery fire on the territory immediately adjacent to the site of the nuclear power plant.
