In the Chinese province of Gansu, at least 19 children were poisoned by lead in a private kindergarten. This is reported by China News Weekly.

According to preliminary data, poisoning occurred due to the addition of food additives. The injured children were hospitalized after prolonged symptoms of poisoning and feeling unwell in the form of leg pain, nausea, diarrhea, and stomach cramps. Also, the level of lead in the blood of pupils reached 379 micrograms / l with a threshold of 250 micrograms / l.

According to the newspaper, the director of the garden was brought to criminal responsibility. It is reported that at the moment a group has been formed to identify the causes of the incident in the institution. However, information about the specific substance in the supplement is still unknown.
