The auto expert called the risks of buying inexpensive new cars

Automotive expert Egor Vasiliev spoke on July 6 about the risks associated with buying inexpensive new cars.
According to him, the manufacturer is trying to minimize the number of cheap accessories that are supplied to the dealer network. This may lead to the fact that the car will not be available. Consequently, the buyer, after paying the money, will have to wait for the delivery of the machine, in some cases up to several months.
"Given that the market situation is currently quite unstable, you may encounter various unpleasant problems. For example, a dealer may cease to exist or an automaker may change its mind about doing business in Russia," the auto expert told the Prime agency.
Vasiliev noted that it is better to look for equipment in the cheap price segment in stock. In addition, from an economic point of view, it is unprofitable for a dealer to sell cars without additional options, so he will try to offer additional equipment or accessories. It should also be borne in mind that inexpensive vehicles can disappoint with build quality or reliability.
"However, if we approach a car solely as a tool for moving in space, then it is in cheap cars and trim levels that consumers do not overpay for a huge number of functions that often remain unclaimed in real life," Vasiliev concluded.
On July 4, auto experts from Avtospeccenter Group of Companies said that the most unpopular cars among car thieves are models with advanced standard immobilizers and new-generation telematics. According to experts, resistance to theft is determined not so much by the cost of the car as by the level of integration of electronic protection systems.
