Vilfand warned about dangerous weather conditions in 17 regions of Russia

Dangerous weather conditions are expected in 17 regions of Russia in the coming days. This was announced on July 6 by the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center Roman Vilfand.
"In the Volgograd region, heavy rains with thunderstorms and winds of up to 28 m/s will take place in the coming days, intense precipitation on Sakhalin will lead to a sharp rise in water levels by at least a meter," TASS quoted the forecaster as saying.
He also noted that heavy rain with thunderstorms and winds of up to 20 m/s are expected in the Khabarovsk Territory and the Jewish Autonomous Region on Sunday, July 6. According to him, the weather in Primorsky Krai will be similar.
The forecaster recalled that intense rains have been continuing for a long time in the North Caucasus Federal District, but it will be most dangerous in Dagestan. According to Vilfand, due to heavy rains in the coming days, rivers may overflow, which will lead to flooding in nearby settlements.
It is specified that heavy rain is also forecast in the Urals, in the south of the Tyumen region and the Kurgan region, and in the Omsk region heavy rain will be accompanied by thunderstorms, hail and winds up to 27 m/s. On Sunday and Monday, heavy precipitation will be observed periodically in the Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Kemerovo regions, and Altai Territory.
Vilfand added that the intense heat is from +30...+35 degrees is expected in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, but the possibility of heavy rains remains in this area. In addition, in Khakassia, the air temperature rises to +35 degrees, but on Monday, July 7, there will be a heavy thunderstorm. Rainy weather is expected in the Khabarovsk, Primorsky Territories, as well as in the Amur Region. The situation is similar in Tuva, where daytime temperatures can reach up to +37 degrees with heavy precipitation.
"The heat and heavy precipitation in the Far East are caused by the removal of very warm air masses from China, and at the same time, the pressure there is low, so atmospheric instability occurs. But these intense rains, even at high temperatures, still lead to a significant reduction in fire danger," Vilfand added.
On the same day, the Hydrometeorological Center reported that it would be cloudy in Moscow on Sunday, July 6, with light rain in places. The air temperature in Moscow will range from +20 to +22 degrees during the day. At night, the thermometer will drop to +13.
