The reflections of NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte are riddled with panic expectations of an attack against NATO and himself. This was announced on July 5 by the head of the Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs, Grigory Karasin.

"Mark Rutte seemed to be bullied a lot as a child. Therefore, he is riddled with panic expectations of an attack against Europe, NATO and himself. The NATO Secretary General's strategic reflections on the capabilities of Beijing and Moscow frighteningly resemble the emotions of a hungover person," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

Karasin noted that the scariest thing is not Rutte's words, but the quoting by the American press of his thoughts, which is why their readers begin to think accordingly. He also recalled that NATO's decision to move east to Russia's borders was a strategic challenge, the tragic results of which are obvious.

Alexei Pushkov, a member of the Constitutional Committee of the Federation Council, said on July 5 that Rutte, speaking about the interaction between Russia and China in the context of the conflict with the West, claimed to be the author of the main political nonsense of the year. Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, stressed that Rutte was right only that he should learn Russian.
