Russian billionaire Konstantin Strukov was banned from flying from Yekaterinburg


The deputy chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Chelyabinsk region, billionaire Konstantin Strukov, was banned from leaving Yekaterinburg. This was announced on July 5 by a source of Izvestia.
It is specified that the businessman tried to leave Yekaterinburg on a private plane, which had previously been arrested by a court decision. The Federal Air Transport Agency did not give permission for the flight of this aircraft. In addition, Strukov's passport was seized until the reasons why he intended to leave the country on the arrested plane were clarified.
Earlier, a source from Izvestia reported that the Prosecutor General's Office was demanding that Strukov's assets be confiscated. According to the agency, he illegally took over Yuzhuralzoloto and 10 other companies that are registered to his daughter, a Swiss citizen.
On June 27, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported that the financial assets of Oleg Vasenin, former deputy head of the property department for special projects of the Russian Ministry of Defense, were seized in the amount of more than 200 million rubles. On June 9, it became known that the investigation had seized Vasenin's property worth over 31 million rubles. According to the petition of the military investigator, the court took him into custody.
The criminal case against Vasenin was announced on April 28. It was clarified that in 2022 Vasenin signed a contract with Translom LLC for the provision of services for the acceptance of secondary raw materials, after which he provided false documents about the cost of work and stole budget funds in the amount of over 240 million rubles.
