More than 170 flights were canceled at Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport due to work restrictions.

At Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport, 174 flights were canceled for reception and departure, 47 more were delayed for a period of more than two hours. This was announced on July 5 by the representative of the Federal Air Transport Agency Artem Korenyako.

"As of 21:00, 174 arrival and departure flights were canceled at Sheremetyevo (80% accounted for flights operated by Aeroflot Group airlines), 47 flights were delayed for a period of more than two hours," the Telegram channel said.

According to Korenyako, the capital's Sheremetyevo, Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports are currently operating normally.

He also added that in order to eliminate the consequences as soon as possible due to the restrictions imposed earlier, 70 additional personnel were introduced at Sheremetyevo. In addition, 15 pieces of equipment were used for ground handling.

In Russia, on July 5, about 200 flights were delayed at airports in the regions amid measures introduced to ensure the safety of civil aviation flights. Thus, time restrictions were in effect at the airports of Samara, Saratov, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Yaroslavl and Kirov, as well as at the air ports of Moscow and St. Petersburg.
