An inspection is underway on the fact that a light-engine aircraft has made a hard landing on a highway in the Leningrad Region. This was announced on July 5 by the Western Interregional Investigative Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

"The Leningrad Investigative Department for Transport of the Western Interregional Investigative Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has organized a pre—investigation check on the fact of an emergency landing of an aircraft," the department's Telegram channel says.

According to the Izvestia source, presumably, the plane had to make an emergency landing due to the fact that its left engine had failed. The pilot landed on the highway, which is located near the village of Tamengont. It is specified that there were three people on board the plane.

Earlier, on July 1, it was reported that a Su-34 aircraft crashed in the Nizhny Novgorod region during a training flight due to a malfunction of the landing gear. It is specified that as a result of the incident, no one was injured, the crew managed to eject in time.
