- Pushkov called Rutte's words about China and Russia the main political stupidity of the year

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte claims to be the author of the main political nonsense of the year, speaking about the interaction of Russia and China in the conflict with the West. This was announced on July 5 by Alexei Pushkov, a member of the Constitutional Committee of the Federation Council.
Earlier, in an interview with The New York Times, the NATO Secretary General said that he was concerned about cooperation between Russia and China. According to him, China could allegedly "attack Taiwan," and the Russian Federation "threatens Estonia." Rutte, however, did not provide any evidence.
"NATO Secretary General Rutte, with his unhealthy fantasies about China and Russia, claims to be the author of the main political nonsense of the year," Pushkov wrote on his Telegram channel.
Earlier on July 5, Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Maxim Buyakevich said that the West deliberately demonizes Russia. He commits such actions in order to prepare Europe for a possible military conflict with the Russian Federation.
