Former coach of BC CSKA Mikhail Stepanov died at the age of 82


Honorary judge of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) and former coach of the basketball club (BC) CSKA Mikhail Stepanov died at the age of 82. This was announced on July 5 on the website of the Moscow club.
The causes of the ex-coach's death are not specified.
Mikhail Stepanov was born in 1943. He started his career at CSKA in 1968, where he served as a team administrator. After that, he joined the Presidium of the USSR Basketball Federation. He also worked as a basketball referee and chairman of the All-Union Board of Referees.
In addition, Stepanov was awarded the badge of honor "For services to the development of the Olympic movement in Russia" and the medal "Veteran of Labor".
