American journalist Tucker Carlson has announced an interview with Iranian President Masoud Peseshkian. He stated this in a video message posted on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

As the journalist pointed out, the interview will be released in a few days.

"The purpose of the interview was to expand the amount of knowledge on the basis of which Americans could form their own opinion. Find out everything you can, and then make a decision. This is America's promise," he said.

During the interview, Carlson did not ask the Iranian president about the failure of the nuclear program, as he understood that he would not receive an answer to this question. However, he learned about the goals of the Islamic Republic and the desire for military action.

According to the American journalist, over the past few months, his team has asked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for an interview three times. Carlson expressed hope that a dialogue between them will take place.

Earlier, on July 4, it was reported that US President Donald Trump is ready to take part in negotiations with Iran. According to him, Tehran itself wants to enter into a dialogue.
