"In the next 2-3 hours, a complex of meteorological phenomena is expected in places in the Samara region: thunderstorms, heavy rain, a squall of 19-24 m/s, large hail," the agency's website says.
According to the regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, bad weather may last until the end of the day on July 5 and at night on July 6.
The day before, Omsk Mayor Sergei Shelest said that five people were injured in the hurricane in the city. According to him, about 200 trees toppled due to the whirlwind, three pavilions at public transport stops overturned, and 56 power outages were recorded on the networks.
