Air defense forces destroyed 12 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory

The Air Defense Forces shot down 12 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over the Russian regions. This was announced on July 5 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

"From 9.40 Moscow time to 11.50 Moscow time, 12 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles of an airplane type were destroyed by air defense systems on duty," the ministry's Telegram channel says.

So, nine drones were destroyed in the Bryansk region, two in the Smolensk region and one in the Kaluga region.

The calculation of the Strela-10 complex destroyed new Ukrainian drones that entered service this year.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that six drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) had been destroyed in the morning over the regions of the Russian Federation. Two UAVs were shot down over the territory of the Moscow region, and one each over the Ryazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Smolensk and Kursk regions.
