Five people were injured as a result of the hurricane in Omsk. This was announced on July 4 by Mayor Sergei Shelest.

According to him, about 200 trees fell in the city due to the whirlwind, three pavilions at public transport stops overturned, and 56 power outages were recorded on the networks.

"There are victims. There are five of them in total — four are hospitalized in medical institutions, they are receiving all the necessary assistance. Another person will be treated on an outpatient basis," Shelest wrote on his Telegram channel.

The mayor noted that the risk of a repeat of the hurricane in Omsk remains, and urged local residents to be more careful and follow the warnings of the Russian Emergencies Ministry.

Also on July 4, the press service of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation for the Omsk region reported that during a hurricane in Omsk, a balcony fell on a 64-year-old woman.
