The surgeon reported on the extremely serious condition of the injured traffic police officer in Nalchik.

A traffic police officer who was attacked in Nalchik is in extremely serious condition. Islam Sizhazhev, a surgeon at the Republican Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Health of Kabardino-Balkaria, told Izvestia on July 5.

"All anti-shock measures are being implemented. He is currently receiving all the necessary treatment in intensive care. His condition remains extremely difficult for us," Sizhazhev said.

According to him, the clinic will develop further patient treatment tactics based on recommendations from Moscow.

The attack on a police officer in Nalchik took place on July 4. The man ran up to the law enforcement officer and stabbed him with a series of knife blows, as a result of which the victim fell into a road pit where repair work was carried out. The attacker was eliminated.

A criminal case has been opened under Article 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Encroachment on the life of law enforcement officers").
