- The Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the OSCE called the reasons for the "demonization" of Russia by Western countries

The West is pursuing a deliberate policy of demonizing Russia in order to prepare the opinion of the European public for a possible conflict with it. This was announced on July 5 by Russia's Deputy Permanent Representative to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). Maxim Buyakevich.
"Their task is the final demonization of Russia in order to prepare public opinion in Europe for a possible military conflict with our country. So that children in Europe perceive Russia not as people, but as "orcs"," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
According to Buyakevich, the European Union (EU) is well aware of Kiev's closure of alternative sources of information in the republic and the ban on the Orthodox Church. Also in the West, as the diplomat noted, they are well aware that in Ukraine "thousands of human rights defenders are in prison and are being tortured."
All this, as the Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the OSCE emphasized in an interview with the agency, is part of the European plan to conduct an information campaign against Russia.
Buyakevich said on the same day that the EU and the UK continue to actively supply weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), which, against the background of the rhetoric of European countries, shows that Russia may face escalation with the West.
