An accident in the Irkutsk region killed one person and injured two others.


One person was killed and two injured in a collision between two cars in the Irkutsk region. This was reported on July 5 in the press service of the State traffic Inspectorate of the regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
"In the Taishet district, as a result of driving into an oncoming lane, one person was killed and two more were injured. The traffic incident occurred today at about 02:00 (21:00 on July 4, Moscow time. — Ed.) on the federal highway R-255 "Siberia" <...> near the village of Razgon," the agency said in a message on its Telegram channel.
It is clarified that, according to preliminary information, the driver of a Toyota Carina car drove into the oncoming lane, resulting in a collision with a Kia Rio. The Toyota driver, who did not have a license to drive a vehicle, died on the spot, his passenger and the Kia driver needed medical attention. Police officers are conducting a check on the incident.
On July 5, the state traffic inspectorate of the Amur Region reported that a Gazelle Next driver killed a 14-year-old teenager on a bicycle. It was clarified that a criminal case had been opened on the incident under Part 3 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic rules of the Russian Federation, resulting in the death of a person by negligence").
