Summer residents can receive a fine in case of violation of the rules for the use of pesticides and agrochemicals during the processing of the suburban area. Lawyer Timur Hardy announced this on July 5.

"Summer residents should not use pesticides intended exclusively for professionals or agriculture. Failure to comply with these rules can result in a fine of 1 to 2 thousand rubles," the expert said in an interview with the Prime agency.

According to him, a catalog of chemicals approved for use in Russia can be found on the official website of the Ministry of Agriculture. In the event that the drug is not on the list, it cannot be used. In addition, before using it, it is necessary to study the instructions and learn about the possible harm of the chemical to animals.

Hardy added that certain types of pesticides and agrochemicals can cause cancer and other diseases in animals, birds and humans. In addition, many substances pollute the soil and groundwater for a long time.

Natalia Shaluba, Managing Partner of Veritas Lex, President of the Legal Center ADVOLOGIA, announced on June 30 that Russian legislation strictly regulates the use of pesticides and agrochemicals, providing for significant fines for violations. According to her, in case of soil contamination, death of plants, animals or bees, the fine for citizens can range from 10 thousand to 20 thousand rubles.
