The Russian diplomat warned of escalation with the West on the Ukrainian issue
The Ukrainian issue is expected to escalate, which is confirmed by the current rhetoric of Western countries. This was announced on July 5 by Russia's Deputy Permanent Representative to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). Maxim Buyakevich.
He noted that Europe and the United Kingdom continue to actively supply Ukraine with weapons and do not consider Moscow's negotiating positions voiced by President Vladimir Putin and the Russian delegation in Istanbul. As the diplomat recalled, they include, in particular, the need to eliminate the root causes of the conflict.
According to Buyakevich, the West views these demands as unrealistic and unacceptable, insisting that the Russian side simply cease hostilities without preconditions.
Yulia Zhdanova, the new head of the Russian delegation to the negotiations on military security and arms control in Vienna, said on June 30 that representatives of the European Union did not understand the root causes of the conflict in Ukraine. According to her, it is precisely because of this that Europe continues to militarize Kiev, promotes the idea of Ukraine's integration into the European community, and ignores the violation of the rights of Russians and national minorities in the country.
