- The military of the Russian Armed Forces has installed engineering barriers in the Kharkiv direction

Servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces are using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to set up engineering barriers along the state border in the Kharkov area of the special operation. Izvestia showed footage of the work of Russian fighters.
The area where the military is moving is dangerous, which is why the drone detector practically does not shut up. Therefore, the driver of the UAZ always presses on the gas. As soon as the soldiers saw someone else's frequencies, the car drove into a wooded area, and the soldiers got out of it and waited for them to be given the green light.
"The sound is disgusting, of course, but it saves lives. A drone is circling somewhere, explosions are heard nearby, and more than half of the road is still going," Igor Kaporikov, a correspondent for Izvestia, said.
When the drones disappeared from the radar, the military continued on their way. Upon arrival, the soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces got out of the car and walked, keeping a distance of 5-10 m. They had to carry all the equipment for several kilometers. There are four people in the calculation: the senior, the sapper, the driver and the operator of the drone.
"The engineering troops today are not only providing engineering conditions for the rest of the troops, but also one of the main striking forces of our troops. Our calculation performs the tasks of setting up an engineering barrier on possible enemy approach routes. We are currently working along the state border. We are carrying out tasks to destroy enemy equipment, strongholds and manpower," said the squad commander with the call sign Bugor.
A sapper prepares drones and antipersonnel mines for action, disguising them with improvised means, including earth and leaves, then they are placed in a makeshift bowl and suspended from a drone. After installing the equipment, the drone operator sends it into the sky, then, when the drone reaches enemy territory, the ammunition is dropped.
"We need to change our routes and apply certain aerobatic skills," said a sapper operator with the call sign Finist.
On July 5, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that operators of FPV drones of the 3rd Motorized Rifle Division of the 20th Guards Combined Arms Army of the Zapad group of forces destroyed a dugout with Ukrainian Armed Forces militants in the area of the special operation.
